Recently, my last post has made it onto a Yahoo Group dedicated to sharing knowledge between recruiters.
In this group I was strongly criticized for my recent posting about why I sometimes don't call candidates back to let them know that they didn't get the position.
Well, I would like to tell the truth. I didn't post my blog on that Yahoo Group and I really don't care what other recruiters think. My blog is not for recruiters, it's for Knowledge Workers. Candidates will work with me for one really important reason. I place people at the jobs that they want.
I answer to my boss and the people that I place, and they are very happy with me. However, they probably wouldn't be so happy with me if I spent all day on those Yahoo Groups instead of being on the phone talking to candidates.
