Senior Business Analyst in Chicago, IL
Job Description:
The person in this role will be required to analyze business and technical needs (across business areas), define the business and technical requirements and processes based on those needs, and then assist in implementing the solution.
Primary duties include:
- Gathering requirements
- Creating/updating documents required as part of the system development life cycle (ex. Statements of Work, functional design, Use Case and process documents),
- Assisting in documenting the project plans, including the communication, training and deployment,
- Coordinating test plan creation and execution and approval of completed test plans.
- Creating application training document and training /demonstrating the applications to the end users.
Required Experience:
- 6+ years as a Senior Business Analyst/ Business Analyst
- 4+ years of leading software lifecycle development
- 8+ year of technology experience- Delivers work and solutions on time, on budget and in a team environment that builds trust and respect to both I/T team members and clients.
- Proven communications skills in build trusting partnership with business clients, technology team members and other technology resources which are needed to interface with to deliver solutions (e.g. written, verbal, presentation skills).
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent negotiation and issue resolution skills.
- Experienced testing background with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly, solid ability to translate technical verbiage into easily understandable language for the customer.
- Have the highest degree of professionalism particularly during direct contact with the business clients.
Required Technology Skills:
- Process Modeling, Requirements Documentation, Word, Excel, Test Plan Development and Execution
- General knowledge of hardware and software platforms
– Oracle, SQL Server, Access, VB, HTML & .NET
Prefered Technology Skills:

DB2 UDB I-Series and Oracle 9i Database Administrator in Denver CO
Looking for two resources with DB2 UDB I-Series and Oracle 9i database administration expertise. The positions are in Denver CO and would most likely be contract to hire positions. The client needs these resources on the ground by the end of January.
The roles are responsible for designing and creating DB2 objects such as tables, views and indexes.
This includes:
-Providing assistance in the development of the conceptual and logical database design
-Designing the physical data model
-Developing and maintaining naming standards for DB2 objects such as tablespaces, tables, indexes and views
-Defining and creating the DB2 objects
-Assisting application analysts in functional prototyping
-Carrying out performance prototyping
-Developing model JCL for utilities
-Recommending backup/recovery procedures for application tables

The Business Application Security Team designs and develops end to end security solutions for thin-client business applications. BAS analysts are required to possess a broad understanding of information security technologies, concepts, and risk management techniques. BAS analysts must also have a keen understanding of project methodology and State Farm technical infrastructure.
Candidate should have:
