Computer Information Systems Career Outlook
Question: Is Computer Information Systems a career in high demand in the USA? I'm think of studying this but I do not want to spent my grant and loans on a degree that 's not going to be worth it.
Answer: In a simple answer yes. It does depend on what field you go in once you get your degree, I think that Network and Computer Systems Administrators and Computer Support Specialists are not going to be in as demand as other fields. This is because of Cloud Computing.
The real growth is going to be in Application development for mobile devices such as Tablets and Phones.
Employment of software developers is projected to grow 30 percent from 2010 to 2020, much faster than the average for all occupations. The main reason for the rapid growth is a large increase in the demand for computer software.
If you are interested in Computers, I recommend that you get a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. You will dramatically increase you earning potential and career security.
